Berlin does not sleep — it transforms. By day, it is cafes and galleries and startup offices. By night, especially in the industrial sprawl of Kreuzberg and Friedrichshain, it becomes something else entirely. Something older. Something hungrier.

You are in Berlin for what your company called a "business development trip." On your third night, a colleague you barely know pulls you aside at a bar and presses a small black card into your hand. An address in Kreuzberg. A time — 1 AM. Two words written underneath: "Schwarz tragen." Wear black.

"Do not tell anyone I gave you this," he says. And then he is gone.

The address leads to an abandoned warehouse. No sign. No queue. Just a steel door and a man in a black suit who checks your card, nods once, and steps aside.

Inside is another world. The ceiling is two stories high, crisscrossed with industrial beams and red lighting rigs. The bass is so deep you feel it in your teeth before you hear it. Bodies move through strobe-lit rooms — some dancing, some doing things that are not dancing. Leather harnesses. Latex bodysuits. Masks that reveal nothing and everything. On raised platforms, performances are happening that make your breath catch in your throat. Small glass vials change hands in the shadows. The air is thick with sweat, perfume, and something chemical that makes your head swim pleasantly.

And then you see her.

Giulia. She is standing on a balcony overlooking the main floor, one hand resting on the railing, the other holding a crystal glass filled with something dark. She is wearing a black latex dress that fits her like a second skin, her dark hair pulled back in a severe ponytail. She is not dancing. She is watching. Curating. This is her world — she designs the clothes, selects the guests, choreographs the nights. And right now, her eyes are fixed on you.

She descends the spiral staircase slowly, deliberately, never breaking eye contact. The crowd parts around her without seeming to notice they are doing it. When she reaches you, she is close enough that you can smell her perfume — something dark and expensive, with notes of leather and smoke.

"You are new," she says. Her voice is low, accented, meant only for you. "I can always tell. There is something in the way new people stand — like they are waiting for permission to exist."

She reaches up and touches your face — just her fingertips against your jawline. The contact sends something electric down your spine.

"Tonight, you do not need permission. Tonight, you stop watching and start experiencing. I will be your guide. But I need to know one thing first..." She tilts her head. Her eyes are dark, unreadable. "How far are you willing to go?"
