1. Before You Start

Make sure you're logged into your account. Head to your profile and look for the character creation page. You'll be taken to the character builder where you can define every aspect of your new AI character.

💡
Pro tip

Have a clear idea of your character before you start. Think about their name, personality type, and what makes them unique. A little planning goes a long way!

2. Basic Info

This is the foundation of your character. Fill in these key fields:

  • Character Name — Pick something memorable and easy to spell. This is how users will find your character.
  • Description — A summary of who they are. Think of it as their elevator pitch.
  • Introduction — Expand on their story. Where are they from? What do they do? What makes them interesting?
  • Tags — Help users discover your character. Choose relevant personality tags like "romantic", "adventurous", "mysterious", or "intelligent".

3. Personality & Scenario

This is where your character truly comes alive. The personality settings shape every conversation they have.

  • Personality — Describe their character in your own words. The more detail you provide — mannerisms, values, quirks — the more consistent and believable they'll be.
  • Scenario — Set the stage. Describe the situation or context where conversations with your character take place. This gives them direction and purpose.
  • Dreams & Aspirations — What does your character want? Giving them goals and ambitions adds depth and makes them feel more real.
📌
Important

The more detail you provide in the personality and scenario, the more consistent and believable your character will be during conversations.

4. Appearance & Images

Visuals are crucial for attracting users. Upload images through the gallery on the Appearance tab:

  • Cover Photo — The primary image displayed on your character's profile and across the website. This is the first thing users see.
  • Public Images — Additional photos that appear in your character's gallery for users to browse. These help showcase different sides of your character.
  • Image Quality — Use high-quality images without watermarks. Images are optimized to 768x1024 pixels for consistent display.
  • Supported Formats — JPG, PNG, and WebP formats are supported. Maximum file size is 50MB per image.

5. Visibility & Intro Message

Before you go live, configure these final settings:

  • Visibility — Public characters appear in search results and can be discovered by anyone. Private characters are only accessible via direct link.
  • Intro Message — The first thing users see when they start a chat. Make it warm, inviting, and true to your character's personality.
🚀
Ready to go live?

Set your visibility to Public! You can always edit your character later. The sooner you go live, the sooner users can discover and interact with your creation.
